Entry Into Australia

When you arrive in Australia, a Customs and Immigration checkpoint will require your passport and incoming passenger card. Prior to having your passport stamped and returned, you may be questioned about your stay. After going through immigration, proceed to collect your bags, checking them for damage or missing items. If something is damaged or missing, inform the baggage desk staff immediately.
Once you have your bags, you'll proceed through customs where they may be checked. Australia maintains strict quarantine rules to prevent bringing in specific foods and plant materials. All items you plan to bring should be listed on the form provided on the plane. Items found unsafe will be confiscated and destroyed. Failure to declare or properly dispose of restricted items may result in fines or legal action.
