RTO Requirements for International Students

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry requirements specified in the training package for this qualification. However, students are expected to:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at course commencement
  • Have completed Year 12 or equivalent (recommended)
  • Demonstrate adequate Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills appropriate to Diploma-level study
  • Meet English proficiency requirements (e.g. IELTS 6.0 overall or equivalent) for international students
  • Complete a Pre-Training Review and LLN assessment
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Have basic computer skills to complete documentation and online learning
  • Be physically capable of performing site-based supervisory tasks

Note: Students may require to complete CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card) before commencing practical training; this is aligned with Safe Work Australia requirements.
