RTO Requirements for International Students

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry requirements specified in the training package for this qualification. However, students are expected to:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at course commencement
  • Have completed Year 12 or equivalent (recommended)
  • Demonstrate sufficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills to meet course requirements
  • Meet English proficiency requirements (e.g. IELTS 6.0 overall or equivalent) for international students
  • Complete a pre-training review and LLN assessment
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Have the physical capacity to perform manual handling tasks and use hand and power tools
  • Have access to required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Note: Students may require completing CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card) before commencing practical training; this is aligned with Safe Work Australia requirements.
