Application Process

Follow our simple 5-step process to begin your journey at Alice Springs College of Australia

SELECT YOUR COURSE

Choose a course from our selection in the International Student Course Guide or online, then fill out the International Student Application Form. Send us an email with all necessary attachments.

ASCA WILL ASSESS THE APPLICATION

An admissions representative will get in touch with you when you submit your application and guide you through the next steps.

ISSUING THE LETTER OF OFFER AND WRITTEN AGREEMENT

We will send you an offer letter and formal agreement after we have evaluated your application so you can make sure the course fees, duration, payment schedule, and other details are accurate. The written agreement and offer letter must be signed by you, and you must send them back to us with the initial fee instalment.

ISSUING THE ELECTRONIC CONFIRMATION OF ENROLLMENT (ECOE)

Once the signed offer letter, written agreement and fees have been received, ASCA shall send an ECOE

APPLICATION FOR AUSTRALIAN STUDENT VISA

Apply for an Australian student visa at your nearest Australian Consulate.

Mode of Study: Face to Face mode and work-based training. Minimum 20 hours per week. Work based training location: As per student’s practical placement agreement for both Hospitality and Kitchen management courses. Please refer to the student’s handbook for detailed course information.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Please note that from 1st January 2015, ASCA can be prevented from issuing you with a nationally recognized VET qualification or statement of attainment when you complete your training. This is because we are now required by law to collect your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and submit this to the National VET Data Collection. We CANNOT issue your qualification or statement of attainment if you do not have a USI. If you have not yet obtained a USI, you can apply for it directly at http://www.usi.gov.au/create-your-USI on a computer or mobile device.

All students must undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test before enrolment at ASCA.

Attach documentation including certified copies of all academic records. A certified copy is a photocopy stamped and signed by a public notary or ASCA's education agent representative. Academic records that are not in English must also be accompanied by a certified translated copy. If you believe you have relevant work experience, attach details and documentation (e.g. employer reference, curriculum vitae, etc.)

Recognition of Prior Learning

Credit Transfer

If you are seeking Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT), you must complete the appropriate form and submit supporting documentation such as verified transcripts and/or employment evidence at the time of application. Incomplete applications may not be processed.

8. Health Cover & Airport Services

It is a requirement that all overseas students in Australia purchase health cover during their studying in Australia.

9. Accommodation & Arrival

Notice: Airport pickup and accommodation assistance requests should be made at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. Additional fees apply for these services.

NOTE: ASCA will regularly monitor attendance. Students must maintain 80% or more for better course progress in each study. Students must regularly attend classes to ensure that they maintain satisfactory course progress. ASCA will report to the Department of Home Affairs if a student shows unsatisfactory course progress. However, Students will not be reported based on attendance.

All prospective students are required to familiarize themselves with the Recruitment and Enrolment policy and procedures of ASCA. This is available on the website www.asca.edu.au.

15. How to Apply

Complete Application

Offshore students may apply through an authorized ASCA education agent. Contact info@asca.edu.au to find an approved agent. You may need to complete a Genuine Student (GS) Requirement Form.

Submit Application

Submit via your agent or directly via email to: admissions@asca.edu.au. Contact our Sydney or NT campus for mailing addresses.

Assessment

ASCA will assess your application and notify you. Successful applicants receive a Letter of Offer and Written Agreement.

Accept Offer

Sign the Letter of Offer and Written Agreement and submit the required payment as outlined in your offer.

Receive CoE

You will receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). Use this to support your student visa application.

*Documents can be certified by an ASCA representative, authorised agent, Justice of the Peace, Public Notary, Australian Embassy or Consulate.

A $500 enrolment fee is to be paid at the time of acceptance (non-refundable). Please include your Full Name as the payment reference.

16. Payment Method

Include your full name as the payment reference. International students must pay in Australian Dollars (AUD). Do not send cash via mail. Keep a copy of your transaction receipt

17. Media Consent

From time to time, ASCA staff may request to take photographs / videos or verbal/written interviews/testimonials of students at ASCA or at places where the student is involved in an activity. These creations may be used in a classroom, or at on-the-job work activities or could be published by ASCA in print, digital or broadcast media such as documents, the student magazine, website, television, YouTube, social media platforms, newsletters, displays, journals, professional development materials for trainers and marketing collateral. Staff may also at times, request students to provide any of the above of the students' own creation for the same purposes.

Withdrawal Option: You have a right to refuse the use of your image or work. You may also decline the media consent by ticking no consent option below or withdraw your consent any time by sending an email or contacting ASCA's administration department.
